For her, it started with an interesting conversation. She was very much into the 'Virtual World'. Social networking had kind of become a necessity for her. But, she was trying hard to remove it from the list of her necessities and priorities of her life as well because it is always better to live in a 'Real World' than to live in a virtual one, as her sister said.
So, she met this guy online. Now, I'm not going to reveal the details of where did she meet him or how did she find him so on and so forth as it is supposed to be extremely confidential. They were absolute strangers. At least she was, to him. It was her fake identity. She used a fake one to talk to strangers because she was made well aware of the bitter consequences of revealing any kind of detail to a stranger. Many of you must be wondering as to why would she talk to a random stranger. If the stranger seems a little sensible then trust me it is wonderful to talk to him/her. You don't really need to worry about any hell thing, you can just talk your heart out without thinking what the stranger's going to think about you or if the stranger's going to judge you. You can just walk out once you are done with the talking and never see that stranger again.... in virtual world.
That one day, she considered him as a stranger whom she may never see again or chat with again. But, she was wrong. The conversation turned out to be exceedingly interesting and fun. And, she 'wished' to see him again. She chatted with him for hours and days with her fake id. If she did not come online for a particular span of time, she would see strings of offline messages sent by him and those messages surprisingly did leave a smile on her face.
Chatting with him became a habit for her. She almost started obsessing over this 'stranger'.
It got all serious when, one evening she felt guilty of showing someone else's profile as hers on Facebook to him and told him all rubbish, made-up stories so that he doesn't send any messages to that profile. And, it was a friend's profile. She believed that this act of hers was juvenile and foolish and nonsensical. She felt guilty because she had lied to him. Soon, she revealed the truth. She revealed her identity. She was herself stunned. She had never intended to do that even by mistake but, at that very moment, she did it, without any hesitation. Now, he partially knew who she was her name and how she looked basically. Then she was off to her hometown for few days. He was off to somewhere too for work. So, they planned to catch up online after some 10-12 days. And, he had warned her that she should not forget him, which was cute.
After a week or so, she randomly went online and found offline messages. Quite a lot of them. It was him and the messages said that he missed her, and his work has finished before time and he was back to Delhi and he misses the long chats and he really wants to chat with her so on and so forth.... She was happy. Very. Very happy! She replied to him and they did catch up online again. It was a long time after which they talked. She chatted with him from her phone (The smarter one which was gifted to her after passing 12th.) Despite of knowing the fact that the online chat would eat up all her balance, she did not care much. Talking to him was a priority, for her. And, it was a necessity. She chatted with him all the time during her stay in her home town. Her friends, relatives and parents even wondered and asked her why is she madly stuck to the phone. One of them also said if she has a boyfriend with whom she's talking to all the time. Things became serious. Everyone around her were annoyed for she was always looking at her phone and doing some crap with it. But, that wasn't enough to stop their chats. The next night she insisted on to sleep alone in the other room, the one without the Air Conditioner.(It was horribly hot in there.) And, that night they had the longest chat ever. Though she was sweating in the humid heat but she was blissful. It was that night when she revealed her full identity. He found her original account on Facebook. But, she did not add him then. They chatted from 11:00 p.m to 4:00 a.m probably. He did not sleep that night as he had to catch a train early in the morning, the next day. It was all about knowing each other a bit more and smiles and giggles. Sleeping was out of the question. She then believed that yes, she had started liking him.
As time went by, she allowed him to add her up on Facebook. When she came back to Delhi, she activated Free internet on her phone just so that she is always in touch with him. Her friends in college were gazing at her and were wondering if she had found a boyfriend or something. She even had his contact number but she dared not give him hers, although he had asked for it quite a lot of times. She was keen on taking things slow and he... he never really forced her probably that is one of the reasons why she started liking him. There they were, chatting the days and nights away!
Peace.
Peace.
